family day

every saturday i get my dada's undivided attention all day...and mama is there, too! today we went to our saturday playgroup - we met in a nearby park because the weather was so beautiful and warm. there were six other families there today...and five of them had boys. it was a boy-dominated playgroup - we played with balls, crawled over eachother, and i even got a little testy with another boy who tried to take my blocks. i was not in the sharing kind of mood as it appears i didn't get as much sleep last night as i usually do. nonetheless, we all enjoyed being out in the open air while our parents got caught up with the week's sleep snafus and other developments related to things such as food, poop and illness.

in the evening before bed, we all took a walk around Stanford campus...dada carried me in the ergo baby carrier and i enjoyed that immensely.

as for new developments this week:...i've been playing every afternoon in our courtyard and meet a new friend every day; i've been doing lots of screaming just to see how it sounds; i've started really smashing and dropping my food from the high chair to see how it sounds/feels/looks; i've decided that climbing down the stairs or off the bed is no longer appealing - i will look over the edge but won't crawl off it as i used to before; i definitely say mama and dada to the appropriate person - and will pull out the dada or mama card during my sleep protesting; i have started grazing/snacking throughout the day; i have started crawling on my hands and knees...not just commando crawling and the list goes on but that's all mama can remember at this very moment.

I'm thrilled to learn that our little guy is now crawling on his hands and knees! Is he getting more teeth? Maybe that's why he's having sleeping trouble.

Can hardly wait to see all of you.

Love, Gigi
