if insects don't have hearts

how do they love each other?

-Levi

Levi continually surprises me with his daily philosophical contemplations. We'll be driving in the car with a long silence and then he comes up with questions like this or questions like "How is metal made?" "Can octopus regrow their arms?" and things he has been germinating on for long periods of time.

Kindergarten is a new beginning for Levi that he has seemingly transitioned to well with an occasional moment of extreme tiredness. He is making friends, learning new things, and really obsessed with the new songs and rules that have surfaced in this world. It's the beginning of a whole new world that I will be slightly involved with but there are many things I will never be clued into. The only real litmus tests on how he is doing are how happy he is and these questions he asks me.

"Mama, you know, there are also tears of joy..."
