11 months and counting...

hi everyone...it's been a while since i posted so let me update you of a few things. since i've turned 11 months, i can throw anything on demand and will often throw the ball to dada or mama (it actually bounces) and will throw my "lovey the lion" when mama hands him to me right before she places me in the crib (!). some other developments are that i am officially the senior member of my saturday playgroup and today didn't want anything to do with all of the "little" babies; i can stand now briefly on my own without support; i can find a bird in a tree or in the sky when i hear it chirp; when i hear other babies outside, i call to them with such gestures as "uh! eh!" and "Ah!"; i now say "na, na, na!" when i don't want something (which is A LOT these days); i want to feed myself mostly cheese and crackers and will object if i don't have participation in the matter and now i want to walk with support. oh...and i can push all sorts of buttons on my toys and my parents as well! today i worked especially hard on my percussion skills (see photo).

these past couple of weeks were busy!

i met my friend sava at his house and we played with his cool toys. he and i are trying to work out our calendars to include a weekly playdate. he moves so fast, i like that i have someone to chase. he and i play really well together and he's very generous with his toys.

papa b and auntie lisa came over for an entire day and we went out and had lunch at med wraps...i couldn't get enough of the pita and hummus. papa b played with me and i had so much fun figuring out his beard. auntie lisa and i played music together and laughed as per our usual!

last weekend i went to Arizona (mama's and my first trip to the state) for spring training and to see the Guetz family which included my aunts mary and laura as well as my uncles taunce and harley. i hung out with my cousin gracie...she made me laugh and i chased her all over...i couldn't get enough of her! one particular line she said made me bust out in uncontrollable giggles: "i'm a baby, i have no teef! i don't know my name! i don't know where i live!" mama has tried duplicating this but she can't tickle my bones quite like my cousin gracie. and i spent time with my aunt amy and uncle jason as well as my beloved g-parents gigi and papa. i had so much fun, i couldn't sleep the whole trip!

this past week dada was on a spring break, so i spent lots of time with him every day. we had lots of fun on walks, checking out books at the library, playing outside and just laughing. my dada is the best. we all went up to santa rosa to visit my grandma rosie and my grandpa david where i had my first birthday celebration - i opened gifts, had my first candle lit, and tasted my first birthday cake...it was so much fun.

whew! what a week! what a month! there's so much that has happened and that i've done. i'll keep you posted as new developments arise!
