this past week i had a cold, so wasn't as social as usual, but i did make it to oakland on sunday where i met up with my friends saachi and paavlena where we joined our parents for brunch. the cheese and herb omelette and potatoes were yummy and so were my two young friends. i was in heaven with all of the noise, action and people. then we went to visit papa b and susan. it was just my luck that my aunt yvonne and uncle mike were there! i played outside and explored the wisteria that is in full bloom with its beautiful lavendar blossoms and tore apart our state flower, the silky orange poppy. papa b made us dinner of rice, beans and a tofu stir fry...it was great.
it's amazing how the world is opening up to me...how i am more interactive...i try to engage people by making eye contact, feeding them my food, showing them a toy, crawling up their pant legs. i now follow directions pretty well...like "come here", "help mama", "grab the spoon", "throw the ball", "gentle", "give kiss" and it goes on. i like to hold onto people's hands to walk, or shake my legs and butt while holding onto a chair to dance. as soon as music comes on, i rock my body and shake up and down. i look around for dada when he's left for work. i open and close doors and cabinets. i am really interested in the various details of the world and will sit and study the way things are put together.
